BALLOONS OVER BAGAN PROGRAM
Your adventure starts with a short journey in one of our romantic converted vintage buses to one of our dedicated launch sites. The growing light reveals our teams busy at work preparing your balloon against a backdrop of ancient temples shrouded in mist. There is time for tea, coffee and refreshments before the all important safety briefing.
With the balloons now standing upright, it is time to climb on board, where our helpful crew are on hand to assist you into the basket. The balloon is guided by gentle winds not exceeding 15 mph, allowing passengers a serene and peaceful bird's-eye view of ancient temples drifting by. Using his skill and years of local knowledge in Bagan the pilot is able to guide the balloon to a gentle landing where our friendly and experienced crew will be on hand with fruit, fresh pastries and a glass or two of champagne to complete the post flight celebration.

ORIENTAL BALLOONING PROGRAM

Pick-up from hotel by private on and off-road vehicle.

Safety briefing and viewing of balloon inflation from a dedicated viewing area, with hot beverages and light breakfast snacks.

45 minutes - 1 hour balloon flight in a four or eight passenger balloon, for an exclusive, intimate and interactive flight experience.

Sparkling wine and fresh fruit reception upon landing, with presentation of personal flight certificate.

Return to your hotel or guest house after the flight.

GOLDEN EAGLE BALLOONING PROGRAM
05.00 - 05.30 - You will be picked up from your hotel to the launch site with our private vehicle.
05.30 - Upon arrival at the launch site, you will be served light breakfast while watching your balloon being inflated by the crews. Then, your pilot in command will give you full safety briefing and flight instructions.
Around 06.15 - 06.30 - Your pilot will commence your Hot Air Balloon flight. During your flight, your pilot will explain the history of ballooning and pointing out prominent pagodas in Bagan.
After 35 minutes to 1 hour ride, you will land back in Bagan. Upon landing, you will be awarded a flight certificate by our pilot and a champagne toast. You will be dropped back at your hotel.

Currently there are 3 Ballooning operators in Myanmar, namely
Balloons Over Bagan, Oriental Ballooning and Golden Eagle Ballooning.
You may ask, so which one should I fly with?
All three operators offer Premium Service and very similar program such as hotel pick-up, light breakfast on the ground before departure, champagne toasts at the end of the flight and flight certification.
Difference between Premium and Classic tickets. In Premium class, there will only be 8 passengers per basket. Passengers will get their own corner with unblocked view. In Classic class on Balloons Over Bagan, there will be 16 passengers on one basket. See Ballooning ticket price comparisons.
Oriental Ballooning is the only operator with flights in 3 cities (Bagan, Mandalay and Inle Lake), the rest operate only in Bagan.
Balloons Over Bagan offers 2 different flight packages with different pricing, Premium and Classic/Standard. With the Classic ticket, the ticket price is cheaper but there will be 16 people in one basket compared to just 8 per basket in Premium. Its program is also slightly different, passengers will be picked up from their hotels in a vintage bus.
Golden Eagle Ballooning is the new kid on the block, they claim to have smaller balloons but their flight is longer than Balloons Over Bagan and Oriental Ballooning. Seats do run out fast, make sure you book as early as possible!
